Sugar House Visits

Passports are still available for locally produced syrup. The Massachusetts Maple Producers Association is encouraging people to learn about the maple sugaring process and to buy locally produced products. Bring your passport to a sugarhouse and have it signed and dated, then submit it for a chance to win! They will offer a chance for prizes to anyone who visits four or more sugarhouses through April 15, 2012. Official Passports are available online; www.massmaple.org or at our sugar house.

Tours

We are currently setting up tours for groups. Again, this is weather permitting and if the sap is flowing at that time. We will email you as it gets closer to the date to let you know if we are boiling. Our tours are instructional and hands on for children. We guide visitors through the whole process of sap to syrup. They will identify maple leaves through leaf rubbings, learn about the trees best for sap, drill and set a tap into a tree stump, collect sap samples, (taste sap if they want) collect firewood, witness the sap being boiled and finally, taste the finished product.

Our gift store has fresh syrup, books, candy and other items for sale. We also have lunch items like "Sap Dogs" available. Our website is currently updated for the 2012 season and will list all prices and tour schedules.

Tour pricing:

Groups up to 10 people $25.00 per group*
Groups up to 20 people $50.00 per group*

*Each person receives a $2.00 voucher towards purchases of $20.00 or more in products from our gift shop.
