Our Community

The 2008 maple syrup season was our second year sharing our hobby with the community. We enjoyed hosting both Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, their families, friends and visitors to our enclosed Sugarhouse. We look forward to the 2009 season!

Thank you to everyone in the community who agreed to let us tap their trees. Without your support, the large volumes of sap we collect would not be possible. We are always looking for large tracks of sugar maple trees. Remember, the process does not harm the tree, as the holes quickly heal themselves. We encourage the community to learn more about the resources in our area. "When it's fresh, it's best!" Please contact us if you are in need of syrup, or you can find our product at the following locations.

OPEN HOUSE / TOURS

We enjoy sharing our hobby with you and would love to take you through the complete process of sugaring. You will learn about maple tree identification, tapping, the collection process, boiling, filtering, grading and bottling. If we are boiling, you will see and sample sap as it goes through the entire process to a finished syrup product. Maple cream is also available on some days.
*Please remember to dress for the weather as part of the tour is outside. Uneven ground and muddy areas are a possibility.

We are located at 30 Orchard Drive in North Attleboro and will post 'BOILING TODAY' signs at several locations to direct you. Visitors are always welcome. There is plenty of driveway parking available. Please call ahead to see if we are hosting a tour group so you can minimize your wait time. Our tours usually run on Saturdays and Sundays during March. If you are interested in scheduling a tour, please contact us at our Email address: davellsfarm@yahoo.com. Please include information on group size, the range of ages, and choice of day/ time. We will contact you with a confirmation and details.
